Welcome to our monthly progress update regarding the construction of Octillion Power Systems’ 10th global manufacturing facility (in USA, India, and China), our 3rd in India (two in Pune), and this one located in Halol, in the state of Gujarat.

At peak capacity, this 13,000 square meter facility will produce over 48,000 battery systems per year for our leading domestic OEM electric vehicle clients in India, for both the passenger vehicle and truck and bus end markets. In sum, once completed, combined with our other two facilities in Pune, India, our per annum production is anticipated to crest over 100,000+ battery systems per year, or approximately 8GWh of annual production capacity.

This Gujarat facility is an important new manufacturing facility for our prominent presence in India’s electric vehicle landscape. Our state-of-the-art battery systems occupy the first position in India as far as electric vehicle battery system manufacturing goes for the number of packs delivered to clients, across major end segments, specifically for truck, bus, and passenger EV.

As construction advances, we would also would like to highlight three other important aspects of this project:

First, job creation in India; with this new facility Octillion will continue to build a meaningful impact for India’s economy, workforce, and communities.

Second, this facility will create an even stronger domestic supply chain, cementing what is already an ironclad foundation and ultimately allowing our clients the assurance of quality, price, delivery, and service.

Third, we are deeply committed to helping India’s transportation sector, public, private, and fleet adopt electrify as the best and most tangible means to reducing the harmful pollutants in India’s air that is negatively impacting the health and economy of India. What this means for India is clear: the impact of clean tech energy in the transportation sector is real and an important economic and sustainability driver.

Finally, one of our trademarks at Octillion that has allowed us to build such a robust global network of manufacturing facilities and co-located factories is the speed and expertise at which we can assemble a factory such as this one in Gujarat. We anticipate productions starting within 6 months of inhabiting the facility, which means our clients immediately start benefiting from the additional regional capacity and supply chain growth, without delay.
